Hacia un museo de “locos”: repensar la tradición y la normalidad en las acciones educativas en museos

Abstract

This article analyzes the relation museum/mental health from practical experience: the bond between educators of the Community Outreach Area in the Education Department of the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires and professionals/users of the Mental Health Unit at Argerich Hospital. By creating the group “Tinkunakuy”, a platform for reflection, action and artistic work is created and nourished over time, allowing new dimensions to explore the dynamics between museum and hospital.
