Los jardines ocultos: un mapa de la poesía chilena contemporánea

Resumen

Este artículo examina el estado actual de la poesía chilena en el siglo XXI, tomando como punto de partida la sensación de incertidumbre y desencanto posterior al estallido social de 2019 y la pandemia. A través de una metodología descriptivo-analítica, se cartografía el ecosistema poético contemporáneo, identificando sus actores, circuitos de circulación y estéticas predominantes. Se analiza el resurgimiento de figuras como Gabriela Mistral, el declive del canon nerudiano y la consolidación de una escena liderada por mujeres poetas y autoras. El texto identifica y describe corrientes estéticas clave como la poesía documental, el neolarismo, las poéticas mapuche, las escrituras del cuerpo y las reescrituras, destacando la vitalidad de editoriales independientes y universitarias. La conclusión principal es que, pese a la fragilidad de su ecosistema editorial y la amenaza de la gentrificación cultural, la poesía chilena goza de buena salud, manteniendo su potencia crítica para interpelar la realidad y el lenguaje desde una diversidad de voces y territorios.

Abstract

This article examines the current state of Chilean poetry in the 21st century, taking as a starting point the sense of uncertainty and disenchantment following the 2019 social uprising and the pandemic. Using a descriptive-analytical methodology, it maps the contemporary poetic ecosystem, identifying its key players, circulation circuits, and predominant aesthetics. It analyzes the resurgence of figures like Gabriela Mistral, the decline of the Nerudian canon, and the consolidation of a scene led by women poets and authors. The text identifies and describes key aesthetic currents such as documentary poetry, neo-larismo, Mapuche poetics, writings of the body, and rewritings, highlighting the vitality of independent and university publishers. The main conclusion is that, despite the fragility of its publishing ecosystem and the threat of cultural gentrification, Chilean poetry is in good health, maintaining its critical power to question reality and language from a diversity of voices and territories.
