Estrategias y dinámicas de vinculación con el entorno de las “nuevas” universidades del conurbano bonaerense
Abstract
The objective of this article is to report on the dynamics and linkage strategies deployed by the “new” universities in the Buenos Aires suburbs to respond to the demands for knowledge of their territorial environment. These universities were born within the framework of a process of reconfiguration of university policies aimed at higher education institutions and the emergence of new conceptual approaches that begin to question the logic of knowledge production deployed by traditional universities. Although these universities generate diverse institutional management models and have heterogeneous trajectories, they present common elements regarding the way they approach their relationship with the environment. In this framework, there will be a common linkage matrix characterized by a strong territorial orientation, determining in turn innovative linkage practices and strategies (social incubators, interuniversity networks, territorial development poles and observatories, etc.) where the university acquired a role of promoter of territorial development. These strategies do not respond strictly to the criterion of commercial valorization but to the resolution of specific social problems of the territory or region of influence of the universities. In methodological terms, the research was developed from a case study favoring a qualitative approach.
