Abstract

Exhibition Señoras calientes (Heated women) by artist Mabel Temporelli was held at Plataforma Lavardén, Rosario, Argentina, from March 4 to 31, 2022. Although the title somehow retrieves a dose of passion around sexual-affective freedom, in the selected pieces it takes on new meanings linked to pain and oppression, but also to activism and resistance. In this article we will analyse both the exhibition modalities and selected works, as well as the connection with Temporelli’s political vision and the imprisonment she endured during the 1976-1983 civic-military dictatorship in Argentina.
