Since 2014 the General San Martín Cultural Centre presents Invocaciones with Mercedes Halfon’s curatorship. The proposal is to call different Argentine directors to read and to put in scene the theatrical legacy of the 20th century. At a first sight, the theatrical curatorship appears to be an incipient activity, but other projects, since the middle of the 90s, mark a curatorial style for local theatre. A journey through the cycle Invocaciones and a most general perspective about its precedents will allow us to design a map of the practice in this field.
