This article analyzes the exhibition Kazimir Malevich. Retrospective at Proa Foundation, largely made up of works from the State Russian Museum Collection in St. Petersburg. Art, revolution, proletarian culture, realism and aesthetic experimentation are some of the keywords I propose for a possible route through the exhibition, trying to think beyond certain conventional readings about the artist.
