Abstract

The present work has dealt with the new paradigm in food consumption and production in the world and with the task of carrying out an analysis of the trend towards the future and how this would influence the processes, starting with production, going through industrialization and preparation, until finally reaching the consumer's table. Everything we produce and consume has either a positive or negative impact on the economy, the environment and social development. Thus, the use of sustainable production and consumption patterns increases efficiency and productivity while ensuring that human activities remain within the planet's carrying capacity, and respecting the rights of future generations as well. The current research study aims to promote a joint enterprise with public-private entities, therefore collaborating in a process of continuous improvement, not only to ensure sustainable production and consumption of food but also to guarantee the development of new strands of work that will favour the analysis of this new paradigm and its scope. Achieving, as a result, the laying of new foundations which will be useful for all the actors involved in the decision-making process. Likewise, it is expected that this will make a significant contribution to the new paradigm in food production and consumption in the world from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) perspective. Consolidating a path on which the different specialties that make up the world of food consumption and production merge for a common work. It is worth mentioning that the current study could be used by all members of the organizational environment in light of a need for adaptation and continuous improvement of the agri-food production system The goal is to establish future strands of work that will serve as the starting point to begin a process of continuous improvement in both public and private decision-making processes.
