Abstract

The following article will present the design and construction of a micro-hydraulic power unit to be implemented in the second stream of the city of Tres Arroyos. The design is based on a micro-turbine invented in Japan, called “PicoPica”, a power generation equipment which has potential to be installed in non-electrified areas. This retrofit of the turbine will be modeled with SolidWorks® CAD / CAE software, to be later printed as a prototype in 3D printing with materials with low environmental impact.
