Abstract

This work is aimed to address the world’s new paradigm of food consumption and production in order to to carry out an analysis with a view to the future and the influence this would have on the production, through industrialization and preparation, until reaching the consumer's table. Everything we consume and produce has a positive or negative impact on the economy, the environment and social development. The use of sustainable consumption and production modalities increases efficiency and productivity, ensures that human activities remain within the planet's carrying capacity, and respects the rights of future generations. The current research study aims to be an enabler of cooperative work with public-private entities, thus collaborating in a process of continuous improvement, not only in ensuring the sustainable consumption and production of food but also in the development of new lines work that favour the analysis of this new paradigm and its scope. Therefore, establishing new bases that are useful for all those actors involved in the decision-making process. Besides, it is expected to make a substantial contribution to the new paradigm of food consumption and production throughout the world within the perspective of the Sustainable Development Goals, paving the way for a cohesive functioning of the different areas that make up food consumption and production world. It is important to note that the current study was raised as a need for adaptation and continuous improvement of the production of agri-food, by all members of the organizational environment, seeking to establish future lines of work that serve as the starting point to begin a process of continuous improvement in both public and private decision-making.
