Experiencias significativas de aprendizaje en residencias médicas. Un estudio de caso en el sur de la CABA 2022
Abstract
The article is part of a research project that aims to know the characteristics of significant learning experiences in the postgraduate training program from the perspective of residents. Specifically, we worked with the General and Family Medicine´s Residency and with two surgical specialties residencies in the south of Buenos Aires city.
This is a retrospective case study that uses primary sources and various methods and techniques to know the case in depth. At the moment, was implemented a questionnaire administered by the research team to residents in the last stage of training.
We understand significant learning experiences as situations that produce subjective effects and that transform those who experience them. From a constructivist perspective, we understand learning as a process of internalization of culture that promotes cognitive development through successive reconstructions within the framework of situations mediated by others (Vigotsky, 1978). We will think of the context not as something that surrounds the learning situation but as constitutive of it (Nakache, 2004).
Among the first results we can mention the assessment of: teamwork in resolving complex situations, building bonds of trust between residents and “teachers”, training proposals linked to situated practice and attentive to learning rhythms.
The participants reported valuable experiences for their training linked to transversal skills in “trabajo en acto” at each residency program.
