Abstract

Social distancing as a measure to avoid the contagion of COVID-19 caused the rhythmic disruption of everyday life and its abrupt reconfiguration into a "new normality". Confinement has wreaked havoc in various spheres of humanly constructed life. Collective sensibilities, that is, the common ways of feeling and using the senses, have also been disrupted by this reality: contact without touching, the filtered gaze, the reduction of the ability to smell —due to the effect of the masks and because anosmia is one of the symptoms of the disease—, more over the transformation of the sound environment and the ways of listening. This last aspect is the subject of this article.
