Abstract
This article analyzes the curatorial practices and cultural management strategies developed in the Latin American Biennial of Contemporary Jewelry aimed at legitimizing its productions in the artistic field. The event, founded in 2016 by Argentinean jewelers and managers, plays a fundamental role in the construction of the infrastructure of the contemporary jewelry circuit in the region, and its competition constitutes the first Latin American instance of validation for its producers and their works. The biennial’s exhibition proposals allow us to appreciate the variety of possible exhibition formats for this practice characterized by the hybridization and crossing of languages.
