Abstract
In this paper Melendi analyzes an itinerary of events associated to different forms of violence generated around coup protests and artistic censorship in Brazil in the recent years. The author takes the notion of iconoclasy and updates it to investigate in the political and institutional procedures of censorship the artistic practices related to the LGBTTIQ community, pornography, nudity and contemporary body politics.
