Abstract
We take for granted that artistic practice has been critical towards museums and other similar institutions. In this context, what is the role of the curator and how can he exercise a reflexive position towards museology? This paper proposes an alternative. The ephemeral museum of oblivion allows us to examine transience, the rejection of grand narratives and different ways in which to determine heritage. The museum is made up of 48 contemporary art projects and, as a whole it becomes a alternative to determine a relevant place for museums in today´s society.
