Abstract
Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo (ESPAC) appears in Mexican contemporary art field in 2015. Since its foundation, ESPAC has proposed a hybrid operating model which gathers features from institutional and independent spaces. In its working processes, ESPAC has developed its own methodology where the study of its collection relies on a curatorial program sustained in three formats: the exhibition projects on site, publications and educative activities. In this article, we review ESPAC’s first five years of existence with special attention in its curatorial guidelines.
