Abstract
The text describes the collaboration between MUNTREF (Museo de la Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero) and MAXXI (Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI Secolo in Rome) which resulted in the exhibitions by Italian artists Maria Lai and Bruna Esposito within MUNTREF spaces: the exhibitions could not open to the public due to the global events related with the COVID-19 pandemic. The chronicle of these events is followed by a series of reflexions as to the implications of producing exhibitions within the global crisis we are facing as well as the role of the agents involved in the production process – the artist, the curator, the institutions and, finally, the work of art.
