Abstract
An electric car, with equipment and performance characteristics equivalent to those of a similar internal combustion model, should be equipped with a battery system whose weight today would exceed 3000 kg. The strong impact that this implies on the structure and performance of the vehicle has forced most car manufacturers to opt for drastically reducing this value at the expense of sacrificing autonomy. We propose to evaluate the different alternatives for recharging the energy storage system of these cars, minimizing the downtime. In addition, we will propose to analyze other sources of energy supply, and evaluate the different existing charging methods, with their respective benefits, incorporating inventions that we consider have not yet been implemented and can significantly impact the time and energy performance required to charge these vehicles.
