Abstract
Like most countries, Argentina has undertaken international commitments aimed at preventing and mitigating the effects of climate change. In this context, the present paper seeks to examine the current legal framework on climate change and the public policies aimed at decarbonizing the national electricity sector. To that end, it will explore the causes and consequences of climate change, provide an overview of the applicable regulatory framework, and analyze the main public instruments implemented in Argentina to promote renewable energy.
