Abstract
This article introduces a brief analysis on the social programs implemented by the City of Buenos Aires for people living on the streets. The study involved organizing the Programs based on the information made available by the local Government into a table that would highlight terms according to: i. which aspects of living on the streets are made relevant as a social problem; ii. the role of the different social actors in the solutions developed; iii. which characteristics of the population involved are taken into consideration within certain categorizations (age, gender, etc.). A timeline has also been developed to contextualize categories and intervention schemes. Moreover, the analysis presented includes academic discussions on homelessness to explain that no long-term solutions can be achieved by focusing on the lack of housing and omitting any reference to the structural causes.
