Abstract
This text analyzed the experiences and normatives (moral and legal) related to parenthood in poor neighborhoods. In particular, I describe and analyzed: a) legal regulations and the legislative agenda related to paternity leave; b) the experiences, conflicts and ways of reconciliation in poor fathers living in poor neighborhoods of the Area Metropolitana de Buenos Aires between going to work and/or being at the birth of their childs. To do this, I did a qualitative investigation that combines documentary analysis of paternity leave reform projects, and informal interviews with parents and observations.
