Abstract
The purpose of this article is to challenge certain theses put forth by the Commission for the Clarification of Truth, Coexistence, and Non-Repetition (CEV), based on a critical analysis of the report on Universities and Armed Conflict in Colombia. In the first part, the right to truth is analyzed through a brief examination of international and national jurisprudence. In a second stage, drawing on the contributions of Argentine sociologist Daniel Feierstein regarding memories and representations, the truth process is examined in relation to the multiple processes of memory construction and how these are generally reflected in the Commission's report. Finally, some critical arguments are formulated regarding the way in which the CEV has interpreted the armed conflict in Colombian universities.
