Abstract
The objective of this article is to develop a proposal for the periodization of the Colombian university student movement in the fight against neoliberal education (1990-2021). From the analysis of secondary sources a proposal for four socio-political cycles of the movement for higher education is drawn up, whose temporal cut-off he considers from the promulgation of the neoliberal constitution of 1991 to the crisis of legitimacy of the model produced by the social outbreak of 2021. The cycles are defined from the transformations and ruptures of the student movement in relation to the national political and institutional dynamics. Finally, studying the Colombian student movement in a medium-term period allows to show its political power, Ability to radiate to other sectors of the popular movement and imprint in the trajectory of social struggles in defense of public education and peace.
