Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present and analyze official data covering the first year of the LLA government's administration, between December 2023 and December 2024, which reflect price increases for psychoactive medications, healthcare prices and general inflation for the period. Among the effects of the context of economic adjustment, structural reforms, and price liberalization, the data analyzed point to the erosion of working conditions, the social benefits system, and the cost of living. We frame the analysis of these data within the social studies of pharmaceuticals, which allow us to connect the economic crisis, public policies, and access to psychotropic drugs, and to analyze how socioeconomic difficulties impact pharmacological interventions and responses to structural problems.
