Entre el oficio de la investigación y la titulación doctoral: la edición académica
Abstract
This article reflects on the complexities of the construction of authorship in the context of academic publishing. Based on a set of existing tensions between the positioning of the elaboration of a postgraduate thesis -based on a research work- for the completion of doctoral studies and the desire to obtain the degree that guarantees the completion of the chosen career. If the practice of writing can be thought of as a constitutive instance of the craft of research, this paper analyses the materiality and ways in which this practice enables the circulation of the production of educational knowledge. The complexity of this exceeds the scope of the scientific field and shows that it does not only involve the constitution of curricular and extracurricular spaces for the development of a doctoral thesis. It requires taking into account a diversity of productions and situations that during the formative trajectory can condition the elaboration of the thesis and the completion of a doctoral programme. It can also be affirmed that it is related to certain problematic knots that this analysis aims to highlight and which refer to contemporary academic publishing.
