Abstract

Introducción al Estudio de la Sociedad, la Cultura y el Ambiente is a specific subject of the National University of Tierra del Fuego, Antártida e Islas del Atlántico Sur, which is compulsory and transversal to most of the undergraduate courses of the University.
In the experience of teaching the subject at the Rio Grande Campus for the period 2018-2023, students's difficulties were identified that affected their trajectory and permanence. These are linked to the comprehension of proposed readings, the resolution of written work and oral expression to account for learning. All this results in a high percentage of dropouts between the beginning of the course and the first partial exam, and in a great challenge to pass the course in the final oral exam for those students who manage to regularize it.
To address these difficulties, a project was designed to promote learning conditions of communicative, written and oral tools through the formation of learning groups. In this paper we intend to show the actions implemented during the year 2023 in the first edition of the project, taking into account preliminary results, scope, achievements and future challenges.
